How DeskVeil Works
DeskVeil operates entirely on your Mac using native macOS technologies:
Local Storage Only
All settings (overlay mode, color, intensity) are stored locally using macOS UserDefaults on your device.
No Internet Required
DeskVeil functions completely offline. No network connection is needed or used.
Overlay Technology
Creates visual overlay windows above desktop icons. Files are never moved, accessed, or modified.
No Permissions Required
DeskVeil requires no special permissions - no Screen Recording, no Accessibility access.
App Store Purchase Data
DeskVeil is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may collect information about your purchase as outlined in their privacy policy.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date. However, our commitment to your privacy will not change: we will never collect your personal data.
