Terms of Service

The agreement for using KeyPress.

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using KeyPress (“the app”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. KeyPress is created by Privdev (“we”, “us”).

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use KeyPress on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies to this app.

3. Free version, subscription & lifetime purchase

KeyPress is free to download and includes a generous free tier. KeyPress Pro unlocks additional features and can be obtained either as:

  • an auto-renewing subscription, which may include a free trial; or
  • a one-time “lifetime” purchase that unlocks Pro permanently on your account.

All pricing, any free-trial length, and the available plans are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; where a free trial applies, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in System Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Purchases and renewals are handled entirely by Apple; we do not process payments.

4. Refunds

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store, so refunds are governed by Apple's policies. Please request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Acceptable use

KeyPress is intended to visualize your own input on your own Mac (for screencasts, demos, lectures, and streaming). You agree not to misuse the app, including using it to capture another person's input without their knowledge and consent. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you.

6. Disclaimer

KeyPress is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Privdev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of KeyPress after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The date above reflects the latest version.
